hello friends,

We hope you're enjoying your Christmas season. We made it to chilly Canada last Sunday and are looking forward to spending the next two weeks with my family. Here's a short update about our fall and what we're looking forward to this winter.

the pregnancy

Of course our huge preoccupation these days is the coming addition to our family. Anna's belly is growing as she approaches her third trimester. The due date is March 21 and we've found out that it's a girl! Super exciting. The pregnancy's been going smoothly so far, we're hoping for a healthy and smooth final three months. We'll be having our baby in Denver, so we're becoming a tri-nationality family!

YWAM: websites, outreaches and WISE school

This fall I was working in the graphics department at YWAM where one of my big projects was doing final touches to YWAM Denver's new website, which launched in November.

Anna was working in Registrar and Reception, as well as coordinating local community outreaches. This fall she incorporated student leaders for those outreaches, which gave the students a cool opportunity to learn to lead in a new setting. Last week we received a Christmas card from a care home (one of our local outreach locations). They really appreciate having young people spend time with their residents each week!

This winter we will be leading our WISE school. We're looking forward to investing into these students' futures as we explore using worship, intercession, spiritual warfare and evangelism to affect the world around us. In February we'll be spending about one week in New Orleans doing outreach there with the group. I'm looking forward to seeing friends we made while we were there last year.

transition

As some of you know, our staff commitment at YWAM Denver will come to an end in March. We have decided to leave full-time ministry for a season and will be moving to Canada! We are sad to being leaving the many friends that have made Denver home for several years, but are excited about the season of growth and new challenges ahead. As we look to bring closure to this season, we are so grateful for the opportunities YWAM Denver has given us to lead, grow, serve and develop amazing friendships.
